When a group of Cornish fisherman come together to perform the working songs they’d sung for generations, they hope to raise a few quid for charity. Nobody, least of all them, expects the story to end on the Pyramid Stage of Glastonbury …
Fisherman’s Friends: The Musical is based on the true story of the Cornish singing sensations and the hit 2019 film. The Port Isaac fishermen are spotted by fish-out-of-water music manager Danny Anderson, who learns there’s more to life than selling your soul for 15-minutes of fame.
Packed with sea shanties, this is a feel-good voyage through friendship, community and music. Set sail and sing along to songs made famous by the real Fisherman’s Friends: Keep Haulin’, Nelson’s Blood, Billy O’Shea and many more.
Fisherman’s Friends is a group of Cornish fisherman who scored a Top 10 hit with their debut album.
The film Fisherman’s Friends is based on the band’s story, written by Nick Moorcroft, Meg Leonard and Piers Ashcroft.
Fisherman’s Friends: The Musical reopened Hall for Cornwall in October 2021. The UK tour ran from September 2022 – May 2023.
