Amanda Whittington is delighted to announce she has joined the new team of Associate Artists at Nottingham Playhouse.  Alongside playwright James Graham and director Matthew Xia, Amanda will be working to support the creative vision of Artist Director, Adam Penford in an exciting period of change for the Playhouse.  An open call for a fourth theatre-maker to join the associate team was launched in October.

November sees Be My Baby arrive at the New Venture Theatre, Brighton, (30th – 8th December). The Thrill of Love plays at The Rose Theatre, Kiddiminster, (5th-10th) and Ladies Day is at Bocking Village Hall in Braintree (21st – 23rd) and the Lytton Theatre with Stevenage Lytton Players (28th– 1st December). Ladies Down Under steps out at Wadebridge Town Hall with Camhayle Theatre Club from 27th-30th and 1st December.

December brings the first production of The Thrill of Love in Germany.  See it by Anglistentheater at the Universität Augsburg on the 6th-13th.


The fifth series of Amanda’s award-winning Children in Need radio serial, D for Dexter is broadcast on BBC Radio 4 from 12th-16th November.  Hear it on iPlayer.

Kiss Me Quickstep will be co-produced by the Queens Theatre Hornchurch and New Wolsey Theatre, Ipswich.  It opens at the Queens Theatre on February 22nd 2019, then tours to the New Wolsey and Theatre Clywd.

Be My Baby will be produced by Leeds Playhouse from May 11th – June 1st, 2019.
