SATIN N STEEL is currently enjoying a successful run in Dusseldorf at the Theater an der Luegallee.

It is the first German production of the play and it's run has been extended into June. (Pic, below).

PLAYER'S ANGELS has become the first ever digital script release from Nick Hern Books.

Companies wishing to stage this 1950's factory drama can now buy scripts electronically instead of in printed form. Copies are also available as a non-printable pfd to read on screen.

The play was first staged by Nottingham rural touring company, New Perspectives. It was subsequently adapted as The Wills's Girls for Bristol-based Show of Strength theatre company and also became a BBC Radio Four Woman's Hour serial. The original script has been revised and updated this year.

With a 5-strong cast and a period setting, Player's Angel's is likely to appeal to the many amateur companies who have successfully staged Ladies Day, Ladies Down Under and Be My Baby. The 1950’s world allows for great costumes and authentic stage design, but it can also be staged with minimal requirements, according to budget.

Scripts available now from Nick Hern.
